Free Health Assessment
Lockridge Medical Centre offers one annual health check to assess your vulnerability to chronic diseases.
This dedicated check-up was introduced to support the unique health risks experienced by those entering middle age.
Whether you have regular checks with your GP, or none at all, this health check is designed to improve early detection and treatment of treatable conditions that contribute to early death, like diabetes and heart disease.
During the health check, a doctor and nurse will assess your physical, psychological, and social wellbeing, they will also consider family history along with biomedical factors such as cholesterol, BMI, and other risk factors. The information provided is used by your GP to offer advice on maintaining and improving all aspects of your health as needed. Any referrals to other health professionals for extra care will also be provided as needed, including but not limited to, podiatrists, physiotherapists, and dieticians. You may also be eligible in receiving a type 2 diabetes risk evaluation.
This free health assessment, funded through Medicare, can be offered only once, and offered between 45 – 49 years of age. to find out if you are eligible, please call the practice on (6278 2555).
