Safe Assessment of Respiratory Symptoms

All patients including children with any respiratory or cold symptoms including sore throat, runny nose, cough, fever should attend a COVID testing clinic for PCR testing as per Health WA guidelines.

You can attend a public or private pathology testing centre for free testing without a referral.

If you call us to make an appointment you will be screened for these symptoms and if present you will be initially offered a telehealth appointment with one of our doctors from home.

If you come to the practice you will also be screened for these symptoms and if present will be asked to return to your car for a telehealth appointment with your doctor.

If you haven’t already been tested you will be asked to have a PCR test before we are able to see you on site.

At your telehealth appointment your doctor will decide if you require a physical examination or if you need to go to hospital.

All patients who are COVID negative and require on site assessment will be offered an appointment in our respiratory assessment clinic which we will be conducting every afternoon.

Please note this will only be booked once a telehealth assessment has been conducted.

We have put these measures in place at this stage of the local outbreak to keep everyone safe – patients and staff and continue to be able to offer you a full medical service.

Please be kind and respectful to our busy staff when they are talking to you on the phone or in the practice to assess the best way to care for you.
