Lockridge Medical Centre will be participating in phase 1b of the COVID vaccination program.

The Department of Health has selected our practice to participate in the COVID vaccination program commencing late March.  In the early stages of Phase 1b the supply of COVID vaccines to general practices will be in limited supply.

You can read more about these vaccines at the following link below:

The following patients will be eligible in this phase:

  • People 70 years or older
  • Health care workers
  • ATSI over 55 years
  • Younger people with an underlying medical condition or disability
  • Critical and high-risk workers

To receive the vaccine patients will be required to show proof of eligibility.  If you don’t normally attend our practice we will require you to bring a letter or health summary from your usual GP.         If you are eligible based on your profession you will need to provide proof of employment.

You can check this using the COVID vaccine eligibility checker:

Now is the time to start reading and informing yourself about the vaccination.

We will only be able to vaccinate you once you are certain that you want to have it.  ONLY book when you are ready to have the vaccine.

It you are unsure or you have questions about the vaccine you can discuss with your doctor or visit:

Based on eligibility, we will shortly send out SMS invitations inviting you to book an appointment.  Please do not call us now as appointments are not available yet.
