Fee Increase 11th January 2021

It is due to the rising costs of running the practice that we have an annual increase in fees.  The government has frozen their contribution in spite of these rising costs.  This means that the gap between the Medicare rebate and the fee charged will increase to keep up with the rising costs of running the practice.

Lockridge Medical Centre is a private billing practice.  However, this practice does continue to bulk bill children under the age of 16 years and patients who have a current Pension card, Health Care Card, Commonwealth Seniors Card or Veteran Affair’s Card.  These cards MUST be presented at appointment time for consult to be bulk billed.  The fee schedule is as follows:

ALL Accounts NOT paid in full on the day attract a higher GAP payment which MUST be paid on the day.

All consultations relating to an injury for which you can claim compensation (eg an injury at work, or in a motor vehicle accident, or where a public liability claim may be pursued) will be privately billed.  Similarly, most medical examinations, for example; driving, travel, sport, leisure pursuits or insurance purposes, are not covered by Medicare.  Charges for these services vary according to the complexity of the request – you should discuss the charges with the doctor before they commence the medical examination.

Medicare Cards, Pension Cards, Health Care Cards, Commonwealth Senior Cards and Veteran Affairs Cards MUST be shown at EVERY VISIT.

Payment of accounts will be accepted by: Cash  or  EFTPOS
