COVID Update

On 17th June 2021 the government via ATAGI announced that Pfizer is the preferred vaccine for COVID for people aged under 60 years.

People aged 50-59 who have already had their first dose of Astrazenica vaccine are reassured that it is safe to have their second dose and that the risk of thrombotic syndrome is very low.

People aged 50-59 who have not had their first vaccine dose are currently eligible to have the Pfizer vaccine at government clinics.

This can be booked online via VaccinateWA  https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/COVID19vaccine

People aged 30-49 who don’t qualify under occupational criteria will be offered vaccination at a later date to be advised.

Lockridge Medical Centre will be participating in the Pfizer vaccination program expected to commence in July 2021.

Please do not call the practice regarding this.  We will keep you updated.
