The government via ATAGI has announced a suspension of the AZ vaccine program for under 50 year-olds based on the rare but serious clotting condition associated with this vaccine in younger people.

Patient under 50 who have had their first dose of AZ can have their second dose others under 50 years will be offered an alternative vaccine when available.
