Douglas Brazil is a friendly and dedicated GP Registrar who graduated from The University of Notre Dame (Fremantle Campus) in 2018. Since leaving high school, Doug worked as a specialist Medic in the Navy with multiple Operational and Humanitarian deployments- currently serving as a Lieutenant Medical Officer in the Navy on secondment to Lockridge Medical Practice.

Doug spent his early medical career working at Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Hospital and Peel Health Campus. He received multiple civilian and military leadership/medical awards including Dux of Course- Senior Medical Sailor, St Mary Mackillop award for Community Service to the Homeless and Intern of the Year at Royal Perth Hospital-State Major Trauma Unit. Doug moved to the RACP General Practice program from the hospital system as he enjoys developing long-term patient relationships and serving his community. His interests include Acute Medicine, Men’s Health and General Medicine.

Outside of medicine, his other passions include being a loving dad to his three children (two in primary school and one fur baby carvoodle- Charlie), annoying friends and family with Military History and getting his hands dirty as a weekend hobby farmer.
